Add Contributors

Open the Individual Contributors section to submit each individual contributor's name and email address, which will send an invitation to each individual to create an account to login to Certify and fill out their contributor questionnaire. Each contributor will have 24 hours to do so; if the 24 hour period since the firm owner submitted the contributor's name and email has elapsed, please contact the Help Desk. The firm owner can see the status of each individual’s questionnaire and is able to send reminders on the right side of the Application Overview page, if needed. To protect personal information, contributors do not have access to the firm owner’s application information and contributors (where multiple) cannot see each others' information in Certify. 

Note: Individuals include spouses, other disadvantaged individuals, and non-disadvantaged individuals who own more than 10% of the company.

If your contributor does not receive an email inviting them to register in Certify, please verify the following.

  1. Verify the email address entered is not .gov or .mil (these are ineligible for use on an 8(a) application).
  2. Ensure the email address has not been previously registered in certify.SBA.gov for another application.
  3. Ensure the email address entered is spelled correctly.
