The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is authorized by sections 8(a) and 7(j) of the Small Business Act and codified at 13 CFR Part 124 to determine eligibility for the 8(a) Business Development (BD) Program. All applicants seeking 8(a) certification must complete the 8(a) application, which is required to be filed electronically. Any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) you provide on the electronic system will be used only for the purpose of determining eligibility for the 8(a) program. SBA will protect the information you provide in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and will only share information provided as required by law.
