Does my Mentor-Protégé relationship require certification?

The SBA Small Business Mentor-Protégé Program is a potentially valuable tool to grow your business through a Mentor-Protégé relationship. If you submit an application to that program, that relationship does not need to be further verified by the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification Program. Instead, your SDVOSB or VOSB certification through the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification Program may be applied to a Joint Venture with the mentor under an approved Mentor-Protégé agreement for which your company is the Managing Venture.
